Schmitz, Hermann
Born in Essen in 1881, commercial training, financial adviser at BASF, in 1925 became financial director with responsibility for foreign transactions at I.G. Farben, made member of managing board in 1926, named general director of I.G. Farben in 1935, sentenced to four years in prison in I.G. Farben Trial at Nuremberg, granted early release, member of various supervisory boards, died in 1960.
